Please note following points for the preparation of a drawing:

  • Minimum number of steps: wall 3 steps, supports 4 steps.
  • Front side access ramp cannot (yet) be represented geometrically
  • Not configurable: Slope in front of stairs, wall distances, roadway cladding, combination of wall and support assembly, slope over 47°, special platform size, special supports
  • If the last (top) step depth/height differs, it must be configured manually.
  • Slopes lower than the stairs are not possible.
  • Extended ramps, which usually cause a displacement of the carriageway, are also not configurable

New in the programme

Augmented Reality

With the new augmented reality function, retailers can visualise the lift directly at the customer's premises. This is how it works:

  • To the 3D CAD-model with AR-function
  • Register once
  • After logging in, you can configure the lift to suit the installation location
  • Scan the surroundings
  • Press the AR button
  • Visualise the installation situation

In the app, you can click on the button circled in red to access the AR view. The camera opens, where you can then see the lift on site in the installation situation.

Test it now

Further new features which are available from now on:

  • The PLG7 platform stairlift can now also be configured online with column attachment. This saves you valuable time and you receive a drawing ready to order within a few minutes. This can be released immediately for production.
  • Input of the project name / reference on the config interface and transfer to the pdf
  • Integration of the color selection
  • Indication of the space required in front of the staircase as 3D dimensioning

Easier drawing creation

With the new product configurator, planned lift systems can now be displayed as a finished 3D BIM model - an important support for all specialised trade partners, planners and architects.

With the online configurator, a finished 3D view of the lift system can be created in just a few minutes. "For specialised trade partners, this means important support in customer consulting and order processing. Architects and planners additionally benefit from the drawing creation, which can be individually adapted to the plan, as well as from the plausibility check," says Christian Hofer, product manager at Ascendor. With the BIM model, Ascendor provides standardised data according to international standards. Access to the BIM model from different 3D planning software is language-independent. This makes it clear how the lift will look in the building.

The interactive configurator is loaded with logics that provide a variety of options for dynamically adapting the lift. The online BIM tool provides 155 different export formats, including STEP, DXF, DWG and many more. The drawing programmes Allplan, Spirit, Autodesk Revit, Bentley, MagiCAD, SketchUp, Grahisoft Archicad and PaletteCAD are supported in a total of eight languages. The portal acts as a hub across languages, file formats and drawing programmes, thus ensuring standardised data exchange. In the future, further application areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality or holography and rendering are possible.
